Hallo... Ich habe mir die Xilinx Software heruntergeladen und bekomme nur immer einen Lizens-Fehler. Ich dachte die Xilinx-Software waere FREE? Es gibt ja eine Moeglichkeit das ganze zu lizensieren, nur da steht etwas von 395,- $. Wer setzt diese Software ein? Und ist die wirklich frei? Was sind das fuer 395,-$? Danke Alex

Hallo Alex, ich benutze die freie Version von Modelsim (Xilinx Version). Hast Du bei Xilinx ein Lizenzdatei angefordert? Die Lizenz ist an den Rechner auf dem Du es installiert gebunden. Von der Xilinx homepage: " Obtaining a License for the Starter Version of MXE Although MXE Starter is free, it still requires a license. Towards the end of the installation, you are asked if you want to license the product over the Web. If you answer "Yes", a browser window containing the ModelSim XE license request page opens. If you answer "No", you have the option to license the product at the ModelSim XE license site by selecting: Start ->Programs ->ModelSim XE ->Submit License Request The license is locked to the "C" drive disk ID. If you change the "C" drive disk ID or install MXE Starter on another machine, you must obtain a new license. The license request page for the Starter Version of MXE does not require a serial number.
