First steps with NodeMCU and Arduino IDE fail

Hallo liebe Mikrocontroller Community!

Mit meinem ersten Projekt wollte ich ein NodeMCU ESP8266 12E über die 
Software Arduino IDE mit der onboard LED zum blinken bringen.

Genutzt habe ich dafür den folgenden Beispiel Code:

Die Erkennung meines Geräts und die Übertragung des Programms verlaufen 
fehlerfrei. DIe blaue LED blinkt sogar beim übertragen. Sobald ich aber 
100% des Programms übertragen habe leuchtet keine LED mehr. Weder die 
blaue noch die rote on-board LED.

Habt ihr irgendwelche Ratschläge die ich mir mal anschauen könnte?
Mir fällt nichts mehr ein...
Ich mache alles genauso wie in den Videos..

Ist vielleicht die rote LED kaputt?
