RS 232 -> USb-Adapter unter Linux

Hallo Leute,
ich habe folgenden RS 232 Adapter, den ich unter Linux verwenden möchte.
Ich hab im Kernel unter Devices/USB alle USB-RS232-Adapter aktiviert, 
nur leider passiert beim einstecken nichts in dmesg.
Kennt jemand den Adapter und weiss welcher Chip in ihm drin ist?

Wenn ich mal raten darf.
Da ist ein prolific-chip drin. die Teile werden eigendlich von 
"modernen" Linux-dispros anstandslos erkannt.

Poste doch mal die Ausgabe von "lsusb -v", wenn der Adapter angesteckt 
ist, dann kann Dir vielleicht weitergeholfen werden.

Ich hab hier so ein ähnliches Teil rumliegen, nur sind die Schrauben mit 
klarem Gummi eingefasst.

Treiber ist "cypress_m8".

Bei mir hat das Teil übrigens nur funktioniert, wenn man es übelst 
misshandelt hat, Wackelkontakt an den USB-Kabel-Lötpunkten...

Mit viel Schneiden, Sägen und Kratzen Platine freigelegt+nachgelötet, 
jetzt gehts besser. Das Teil ist aber eigentlich den Aufwand nicht wert.

Es gibt eine Menge Adapter, sie so oder so ähnlich aussehen und ein 
völlig unterschiedliches Innenleben haben. Ich habe zum Beispiel einen 
mit einem Winchiphead CH341.

Deshalb hilft wirlich nur die Ausgabe von lsusb, um herauszufinden, was 
drin steckt und ob es einen Treiber dazu gibt.

O ja, ich habe zwei bis auf den von selbst abfallenden Aufkleber nahezu 
völlig identische Prömpel - der eine verwendet einen Prolific-Chip, der 
andere einen von FTDI.

Hallo,
hier als Anhang die Ausgabe von lsusb -v.
Ich konnte beim Einstecken keine Veränderung feststellen, vermute fast, 
dass der Adapter garnicht funktioniert ;-)

Mein Windows-System regt sich beim Einstecken auch nicht,
