Frage zu FreeRTOS

Hallo,

in eine DEMO Applikation wird mit sys_thread_new ein Thread für eine UDP 
Verbindung erzeugt. Mit xTaskCreate wird ebenfalls ein Thread angelegt.
Worin besteht bei den beiden der Unterscheid? Könnte ich auch eine 
UDP-Kommunikation mit dem XTaskCreate erzeugen?
