Bauteil stammt aus einem Tachoinstrument aus einem MB Sprinter.

Das ist aber nicht nur "ein Bauteil", sondern "ein Bauteil, das Daten speichern kann". Einfach nur "tauschen gegen ein Neues" wird ausser einem Fehler nicht viel bringen.

Es geht mir um den Schreibschutz...einmal steht etwas von WriteProtection und einmal etwas von Block Protection. Worin besteht der Unterschied?

OTP bit: when set, this disables access to the Protection Register...

Da wird eine Adresse angegeben und alle höheren sind schreibgeschützt. OTP bit damit das später niemnad mehr ändert.
