Hello togehter,

I connect a ATMEL-ICE (from Microchip direkt, thank you for the discount
tip ;) ) over a 6 PIN Header to the pins of a ATMega88 like it is
discriped in the Datasheet of the ATMEGA88 and the ATMEL-ICE Datasheet
on page 38 "SPI Physical Interface".

MISO and MOSI Pins should be correct, if i has right identifiy what is
row 1 and 2 of the header. VCC and GND are also correct.

I use a bradboard with a powersupply-adapter (like
http://shop.aftabrayaneh.com/image/cache/data/arduino/Power_Supply_Adapter_Charger/POWER-MBV2/Breadboard_Power_Supply_4-500x500.jpg)
and a power-adapter wich spend me 12V and 1000mA OUTPUT.

If I try to "read divice signature" in Atmel Studio 7 under "interface
settings) I get the warning/errormessage: "read voltage -5,1v is
outside selected devices: 1,8 to 5,5V".

If i test the breadboard with a Voltmeter, i get correct 4,9 V.

What did I do wrong? Have I alrady destroy the ATMega?

Is it important, how much mA Output the Power-Adaper has?

You can answer in english or german.

Kind regards and a big thankyou for your help! :)

Ok, everythink works now,
