Programming a MAXII EPM570GT100C5N device

Hi everybody,

 we are using a MAXII EPM570GT100C5N on Quartus Quartus 9.1 Build 350 
03/2010 SJ Web Edition in Windows XP. We have Altera USB-Blasters for 
programming and we get the following error when trying to program 
anything to the CPLD: Can't access JTAG chain. JTAG server error: error 
44 Are there any known problems related to that chip? Are there 
sequences that I have to follow so that the chip will be found in the 
JTAG chain? We checked all connections and it appears that all JTAG 
signals arrive on the correct pins at the chip.

ps Antworten in Deutsch sind möglich, habe die Nachricht nur so auch im 
Altera Forum geposted, aber noch keine Antwort erhalten.

Wo finde ich denn dei error codes von altera???

Ich programmiere öfters den EPM1270 mit LPT- oder USB-Byte-Blaster, aber 
das ist mir noch nicht vorgekommen.

Der Hilfetext im Quartus-Programmer ist wenig hilfreich:

Fehlermeldungen die mit "C" anfangen:

"Can't access JTAG chain"

This message can occur because the board is not powered on, the 
programming hardware is not connected, or there is a problem with the 
board, such as a short circuit.
ACTION:   Make sure the board is powered on and programming hardware is 
connected properly, and check the integrity of the board.

oder auch
You tried to access the JTAG chain but the chain is empty.

Und unter "J":
JTAG Server can't access selected programming hardware

JTAG Server not running

JTAG Server out of memory

Error-Nummern sind anscheinend unbekannt

Hi,

es hat sich erledigt, denke ich.
Wir haben einen Chip vom Typ EPM570G, der 1.8 V Core-Spannung braucht in 
eine Schematik für EPM570 mit 3.3 V Core-Spannung verbaut.
Bestelle jetzt um und hoffe, daß der neue Chip dann arbeitet.
