LVDS->HDMI Adapter Selbstbau

Hallo,

Da mir auf einem Alten Beitrag nicht geholfen wurde (konnte), möchte ich 
mich jetzt selber damit befassen ein Laptop Display am Computer zu 
betreiben.

Dieses Display hat folgende Pinbelegung:

2 VDD (3.3V)
3 VDD (3.3V)
4 VEEDID (DC 3,3V)
5 NC
6 CLKEDID (DC Clock)
7 DATAEDID (DC Data)
8 O_RxIN0- (LVDS Differential Data INPUT Negativ)

11 O_RxIN1- (LVDS Differential Data INPUT Negativ)
12 O_RxIN1+ (LVDS Differential Data INPUT Positiv)

Im Anhang habe ich mal für euch die HDMI und DVI Belegung angehängt.

Ihr seht ja das es bei beiden Anschlusstypen immer Daten (TMDS) +und- 
gibt, wie bei meinem Display auch, und auch andere Pins sind Ähnlich. 
Jetzt ist meine Frage, ist es möglich mein Display mittels Selbstbau 
(Passiv-)Adapter über (vorzugsweise) HDMI oder DVI laufen zu lassen?
Und wie kann ich dann am Besten meine Grafikkarte vor Defekte schützen?
