Hirose Steckverbinder schraffierter Bereich Bedeutung?

Hallo,
ich mal wieder mit dem FX10 Steckverbinder.
Im Datenblatt ist folgender Satz zu lesen:

The cross-hatched area inside the SMT land may come into contact with 
the connector contacts and thus care should be taken that the pattern 
does not extend beyond the SMT land width.

Ich lese das als:
Es muss darauf geachtet werden das die Kontakte des Steckverbinders 
innerhalb des Schraffierten Bereichs in Kontakt mit der Leiterplatte 
kommen könnten.

So weit so gut.

Nur was meint Hirose mit dem Satzteil:
and thus care should be taken that the pattern does not extend beyond 
the SMT land width

Im Anhang ist auch das "Land Pattern" zu sehen.
