Beschriftung SMD Widerstände mit Buchstaben

Ich habe hier einige SMD-Widerstände im 0603-Format. Doch statt des 
gewohnten 3 oder 4 stelligen Zahlencodes stehen darauf zwei Ziffern und 
ein Buchstabe. Ich habe das bisher noch nie gesehen. Offenbar gibt der 
Buchstabe den Multiplikator an, denn die Werte mit A am Ende liegen 
zwischen 100 und 1000Ohm, die mit B zwischen 1k und 10kOhm, etc.

Doch der Zahlenwert scheint nichts mit dem Ohmwert zu tun haben, bei 
einem Widerstand mit Aufschrift 46B messe ich z.B. 2.92kOhm, 30C hat 
19.9kOhm.
Kennt jemand diese Kodierung?

Sinnvoll wäre es, die Fonts einzubetten.  Sonst passiert, je nach

p.s.: Übrigens sollten die einstelligen Codes eine führende Null
bekommen, also „01“ statt nur „1“ für den Faktor 100.

Das mag sein, wenn das System den Font nicht kennt oder der Viewer etwas 
doof ist - und das mir :-(
