WOM (Write-Only-Memory)

Kann man aber nur an den 13-bit Universalprozessor anschließen, da es
mit dem großen Tripelbyte adressiert werden muß.  Kritisch bei diesem
Prozessor ist das Voltage-Multiplex-Verfahren, da man dort GND und Vcc
über ein Pin speisen muß.

Nicht zu vergessen das die beliebten Frequenzbiegezangen ohne WOM
garnicht funktionieren würden.

Besonders beachtenswert ist der Ausgang unten rechts und die nötige
Kühlung: "The 25120 is easily cooled by employment of a six-foot
fan,". ;-)

Die Input-Protection ist wirklich bahnbrechend.

Und die Applikation-Liste sollte sich wirklich jeder mal anschauen.
Sieht fast so aus, als ob das Teil für die allermeisten Probleme hier
im Forum DIE Lösung ist.

Out of frustration with the long and seemingly useless
chain of approvals required of component
specifications, during which no actual checking seemed
to occur, an engineer at Signetics once created a
specification for a write-only memory and included it
with a bunch of other specifications to be approved.
This inclusion came to the attention of Signetics
management only when regular customers started calling
and asking for pricing information. Signetics
published a corrected edition of the data book and
requested the return of the "erroneous" ones. Later,
around 1974, Signetics bought a double-page spread in
"Electronics" magazine's April issue and used the spec
as an April Fools' Day joke.



Vielleicht sollte man mal bei Signetics nachfragen und mitteilen, dass
man bis zu 100 $ für so ein Teil zahlen würde und einige 1000 abnehmen
würde; wo ein Haufen Geld ist, ist auch ein Weg ...

Ist der Hintergrund nicht das heutige Datum???
