Wieviele Xbee-Versionen existieren (ZigBee)

Hallo,

ich bin auf der Suche nach ZigBee-Modulen mit einem kompletten 
ZigBee-Stack. Mir ist von der Firma Maxstream/Digi der XBee ins Auge 
gefallen.

Nur ich blicke bei den Versionen nicht so ganz durch. Es gibt soviele 
Versionen und ich verstehe den Unterschied nicht so richtig.

XBee® & XBee-PRO® ZB ZigBee® PRO RF Modules

XBee® & XBee-PRO® DigiMesh™ 2.4 RF Modules

XBee® & XBee-PRO® ZNet 2.5 Mesh RF Modules

Dann gibt es noch XBee Serie 1 und Serie 2 ??????????

Vorab mir wäre es recht einen zu finden der U.FL Antennenanschluß hat 
und maximal 10mW Ausgangsleistung besitzt und ganz einfach ZigBee kann 
;-)

Wäre nett wenn mich einer aufklären könnte.

Ich verstehe einfach die Unterschiede untereinander nicht. Bedeutet hier 
ZB ZigBee ?

dieses Thema ist zwar schon etwas älter, ich möchte aber gerne wissen 
worin der Unterschied zwischen Serie und 2 ist?
Sind die aufwänder zu programmieren?

Es gibt 2 Hauptgruppen:
Point-to-Point:
   -XBee 802.15.4 OEM Modul

Mesh:
   -XBee ZB
   -XBee DigiMesh
   -XBee ZNet

Die Pro Module haben im wesentlichen eine grössere Sendeleistung.(ev. 
weitere Schnittstellen etc.)

Zur Kompatibilität:

•  Generell gilt: "The XBee and XBee-PRO 802.15.4 (formerly series 1) 
modules provide point-to-point 802.15.4 communications, and the XBee and 
XBee-PRO ZB  (formerly series 2 or 2.5) modules provide ZigBee-compliant 
mesh. If the application strictly needs to communicate in a 
point-to-point or a point-to-multipoint fashion, 802.15.4 will be able 
handle all the communications between your devices and will be simpler 
to implement than trying to use a module with ZigBee firmware to 
accomplish the same goal. ZigBee is necessary if you need to use 
repeating or mesh networking functionality in your system."
•  "Digi's XBee™ 802.15.4 OEM RF modules can be set up to operate in a 
point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or a peer-to-peer configuration. 
While standard 802.15.4 always requires a coordinator, the Digi radios 
are set up so that a coordinator is not required."
•  There are two protocols for mesh networking: DigiMesh for Series 1; 
ZigBee for Se-ries 2. DigiMesh is fully functional mesh networking, 
except it is not compatible with the industry-standard ZigBee. This 
means most people should be happy with Series 1 even if they are using 
them for mesh networking.


Upgrades:
XBee Series 2.5 (or series 2) modules have been discontinued, though 
existing Series 2.5 modules can be converted to full standard ZB 
capabilities - it's only a firmware change, not hardware (as stated in 
this digi page). Xbee Series 2.5 is just another name for the former 
Series 2, so the upgrade procedure is exactly the same.
The Series 1 (802.15.4) modules remain unchanged


Compatibility Note:
XBee and XBee-PRO DigiMesh 2.4 Modules are compatible with other devices 
that use XBee "DigiMesh 2.4" technology. These include ConnectPort X 
gateways, XBee and XBee-PRO Adapters, and other products when designated 
with the "DigiMesh 2.4" product name. Devices that do not have the 
"DigiMesh 2.4" product name, including Digi's line of ZB, DigiMesh 900, 
and 802.15.4 XBee products are not compatible with XBee and XBee-PRO 
DigiMesh 2.4 Modules.

Compatibility Note:
XBee and XBee-PRO ZB Modules are compatible with other devices that use 
XBee "ZB" technology. These include ConnectPort X gateways, XBee and 
XBee-PRO Adapters, XBee Wall Routers, XBee Sensors, and other products

Kurz gesagt Entscheide Mesh oder Point-Multipoint an kauf alle vom 
gleichen Typ und es sollte funktionieren.
