Satzübersetzung deutsch-englisch gesucht

Wenn schon, dann "... you might be deterred by the complexity." Und das 
"If you are..." am Anfang würde ich auch weglassen. Also möglicherweise 
so:
"Starting first with the basics of ..., you might be deterred by it's 
complexity."
(BTW: Beim "it's" muss tatsächlich ein Apostroph hin; ist schließlich 
Genitief...;-)

"...scared by..." wäre korrekter. Und "encourage" passt in dem 
Zusammenhang nicht. Je nachdem, in welchem Kontext das steht, ist 
"scared" vielleicht auch ne Nummer zu dick aufgetragen...

Na aber sicher nicht...'its' -> dessen Komplexität, sonst würd's ja 
heißen 'by it is complexity'!
