New ADS-B Android App for Europe

Hi to the forum, my german is poor so i write in English!!

Android app programmer Nikos recently wrote in to let us know about his 
new app called “Track your flight Europe”. His app can be used together 
with an RTL-SDR and USB OTG cable to track aircraft via ADS-B. The 
difference between Nikos’ app and other similar ADS-B apps is that his 
app is specifically designed for tracking the aircraft you are flying in 
by providing an offline map which does not require an internet 
connection to display.

As the app is currently in the alpha stages of development, Nikos is 
looking for people to help test it out. The alpha can be downloaded for 
free on the Android Google play store at 
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.qtproject.example.Android_Application_ADSB_final.

Wer hat Interesse daran ?

Hi,

I have trial to use this app.
I have no seen a Airplane. :(
The RTLSDR-Driver is install on the Tablete and the DVB-T-Stick is 
running with other SDR-App.
Have you a idea?

Start the Driver only, with the android icon "RTL2832U driver" with the 
usb connected and press "Enable advanced mode" and then "Start stream".
Now the driver displays if you have an error, write me again with the 
message of the driver!

Das ist gut, müsste es klappen, guck mal deine Antenne und musst du 
sicher sein dass es ein Flugzeug in der Nähe gibt.

Hat funktioniert nach dem ich den Antennen Standort verändert habe.

Die GUI ist noch nicht perfekt.
Aber für eine Alpha-Version ist das in Ordnung.

Could a zoomable map be integrated?
I would indeed mainly interested in ads-b receiver reach.
Otherwise, cool app!

This app is released before 3 weeks, so there is not bad timing

Hi, yes i am working on it, the App is developed with C/C++ so it is not 
simple to use all the abilities from Android API.
An other reason is that the Map costs 140 Euro / picture. So this is a 
demo Map and if you someone want all this extras have to pay!

It's possible to use free maps, open maps of course? Select a map 
section, download and use offline? If permitted by the license terms, of 
course.
