WD MyCloud Mirror (Gen 1!): Debian statt Original-FW - wie?

Hallo habe das NAS geschenkt bekommen und durfte noch die letze FW-Version über das WebGUI einrichten: 2.42.115. Busybox/dmesg melden "Thu Aug 29 20:35:52 PDT 2019".

Würde gerne aktuelles Debian installieren, wobei ich auf Apple-Komp. und Cloud-Spiele gerne verzichte. Eingebaut sind:

Leistungsvergleich "Kopieren mit midnight commander (MC)

Das Gerät "gab" seine beiden Platten an meinen Spiegelserver ("sharky")ab und erhielt dessen alte Platten; konfiguriert als RAID1: alles verlief problemlos. Die NAS-Platten erfüllen SATA-2-, eine SATA-3-Standard. Das NAS scheint zu funktionieren. Test mit cifs-Einbindungen zw. allen Servern bzw. dem Notebook.

Zum Vergleich Transfer von Datei 15G: a) Datenrate von smb-Server ("st") via Notebook (SSD) zum NAS ca. 12MB/s in einem 1GB/s-Netz ohne sonstigen Verkehr.

b) Von smb-Server ("sharky" HDD-RAID1) zum NAS ca. 103MB/s (hundertunddrei)

c) smb-Server ("st") (Pentium Gold G5420 CPU @ 3.80GHz, HDD-RAID1) direkt zu smb-Server ("sharky" HDD-RAID1) (i3570k, SSD): ca. 80MB/s.

d) smb-Server ("st") (Pentium Gold G5420 CPU @ 3.80GHz, HDD-RAID1) direkt zu smb-Server ("sharky") (i3570k, HDD-RAID1): ca. 68MB/s.

e) NAS zum smb-Server ("sharky") ca. 69MB/s.

Mit jedem Datei-Kopier-Start einige Sekunden lang ca. 109MB/s.
