Hi all,
I'm embedded software engineer with 3 years of work experience in audio
signal processing and I'm looking for a job in Germany. I sent mail with
my application on many addresses but I didn't succeed anyway. So I'll
appreciate if someone can help me in my searching. I wrote main projects
that I was forging on in last three years:
As a member of development team:
- Implementation of X96 and XBR components for DTS-HD audio decoder on
Cirrus Logic CS4952X
processor.
- DTS Legacy and NEO6
- DTS-HD Low Bit Rate
- Implementation of 64Bands and 32Bands perfect reconstruction filter
banks (24 Bits) for DTS-HD
Lossless audio decoder on Cirrus Logic CS4953X processor.
- Testing framework development (C/C++) for DTS-HD based on DTS-HD test
vectors.
As a front man I was working on following projects:
- DTS-HD Master Audio
- DTS-HD High Resolution Audio

I want to note that I've basic knowledge of German and advanced
knowledge of English.

Warm Regards,
-Dejan

You should contact the big german engineering service providers with
your CV. If any customer has neadd of your skills, they will contact
you. Sometimes there are some of these offers from some german car
multimedia device producers.

Once again thanks for your help I really appreciate it if you have more
useful information please share it with me.
P.S.
"big German engineering service providers" do you now at least one name
so I can search it.

The problem is that most german job web pages are in german language and
not in English.

If your German is good enough you could put your CV e.g. at www.job.de
. Then the companies will contact you.

I'm already registered on www.job.de and I'm waiting for response. My
German knowledge is good enough to be able to read pages that are wrote
on German.(with a little help of "google translate" :-) )
I've one more question. Because I don't have experience in job searching
I'm not sure what does it mean when they(company) ask you to send
diplomas and travel coast, see below text from mail that I got at
Friday. Is it regular procedure or it means something. Once again thanks
a lot for time that you've spent giving me a lot of useful information.

Received mail:
Thank you for your application and your interest in working for our
company. We would like to get some more information from you. Could you
please send us your complete CV as well as your diploma and letters of
reference about your professional experience.
Furthermore we would like to know, if you are still living in Serbia and
if you could calculate the travel costs for a trip.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and will come back to you
after reviewing your complete application.

Kind regards

complete CV means a CV starting with birth date and town, school time,
and everything you did in the past. All information should be given with
year/month. Look here for an example:
http://www.heiko-mell.de/html/muster-lebenslauf.htm

diploma: German: "Kopie des Diplomzeugnisses"

letters reference about your professional experience: German:
"Arbeitszeugnisse"

If comanies want this information from you this is good news: They are
interesed in you and more information.

> calculate the travel costs for a trip
They want to see you and perhaps the want to pay the trip for you I
guess. So look for a cheap flight or train connection, hotel stay and
all cost for such a visit, make a list and hope it is not too much for
them and they want to pay this.

Q1.
Usually, I find the company and send them my job application. In few
days they ask me for additional informations and diplomas or they inform
me that "they have decided against taking me application." So my opinion
is if they interested for additional information that's a good news, do
you think same?

Q2.
They would like to know what my salary expectations are so I need to get
a better idea of how much I can reasonably ask for and how much I'll
need to live decently in Germany?

Q3. I would like to ask you if you know any any company in Wiesbaden or
near to it so I can send them my CV? I was there several times and it
looks wonderful.

Try Fujitsu Microelectronics located in Langen (between Frankfurt and
Darmstadt). They do business also with multimedia and audio
semiconductor (development). It is a multicultural company if you like
also japanese working culture ;-) It is not so far from Wiesbaden. Have
fun!

Well my comment was pertaining to your statement of "Advanced English"
which you prove yourself wrong by writing in pretty improper English.
Don't understand my wrong, but if you say about yourself that your
English skills are advanced you should at least be able to have a CV
without any language mistakes.
And your CV really does have a couple of non-acceptable mistakes.

Anyways, might wanna revise ur CV...

Thanks a lot for your well-meaning suggestions I'll revise my CV and
correct it but my intension was on comment about "Balcanic English". I'd
like to understand your comment but I still have problem with it.
