AVR32AP7000 USART 2 Initialisierung

Hallo,

I am working on a project using the AVR32AP7000 processor.

At the moment, i am having the problem of not being able to access the 
USART2 registers.

Ialso tried to initialize USART 2 using the provided source code from 
ATMEL (avr32100_communication_with_the_avr32_usart) but I failed.

No value can be written into any register.

The only USART port which is working properly is USART1.

Looking at the documentation one sees that the only major difference 
between the USART channels is that USART 1 is defined as peripheral A 
and all others are defined as Peripheral B, but this should not 
influence the register accessibility.

I am using the following software tools:

AVR32 Studio 1.00.16
AVR32 GNU Toolchain 1.2.3.

Debuging device is JTAGICE mkII.

I would be very happy if you can help me somehow.
