For your information, the Amontec JTAGkey-Tiny works with OpenOCD and
it address the hobbyist and student market. The JTAGkey-Tiny is very
close to the parallel port Wiggler price but comes with the USB port
advantages. The JTAGkey-Tiny uses the same USB drivers as the Amontec
JTAGkey! If you already have installed the JTAGkey on your PC, you do
not need to install the drivers again.

Does JTAGkey-Tiny or JTAGkey work with Windows98SE or Linux?

Funktioniert JTAGkey-Tiny oder JTAGkey mit Windows98SE oder Linux?

Das ist anzunehmen, verwenden beide doch den FT2232 als USB-Baustein,
und für den gibt es Treiber zumindest für Linux. Ob der
Windows95-Aufguss noch unterstützt wird, lässt sich bei FTDI
herausfinden.

Klar.

Eine ältere Supportfrage bei AMONTEC übers Webformular auf der
Herstellerseite blieb unbeantwortet oder landete im Spamfilter und
obige Infowerbung erinnerte mich an das Thema.

Im Moment ist es eh nicht so akut, weil ich Ende August einen Olimex
bestellt habe und auf den warte ich noch. Soll ja Ende Oktober im Shop
ankommen.

Und welcher USB-Chip mag wohl im Olimex-Jtag-Adapter verbaut worden
sein?
Richtig: Der FT2232.

Alle diese OpenOCD-Jtag-Adapter nutzen die MPSSE-Fähigkeit des FT2232
...

Ich weiss und ich kann hoffentlich demnächst auch Bescheid sagen, dass
der Olimex-JTAG-to-USB Adapter mit Windows98SE und/oder Linux
funktioniert.
